Starr County Memorial Hospital is dedicated to providing the Starr County community with immediate, high-quality care through our Emergency Department (ED), which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Designated Trauma Facility: We are a Level IV Trauma designated facility, committed to delivering the most current and advanced healthcare protocols for life's everyday emergencies.
Rapid Diagnostics: To ensure efficient diagnosis and treatment, we offer 24-hour on-site access to:

◦ Radiographs
◦ CT Scans
◦ Sonography

Efficient Treatment: We utilize a streamlined triage system to reduce wait times and ensure patients are seen quickly based on the severity of their condition.
Transfer Coordination: If your condition requires admission or a higher level of specialized care, our team seamlessly manages all aspects of the hospital admission or transfer process.

Emergency Transport Services (EMS)

Our Ambulance / EMS Department is the sole 911 EMS Provider for Starr County.

If you require immediate medical attention, please call 911 to request prompt, professional emergency transport by our EMS personnel.
Safety Note: For your safety and care, patients seeking emergency treatment are strongly encouraged not to drive themselves to the Emergency Department.
